BEST COOKIE EVER!!!!!

Cookie Time!!

Who here doesn't LOVE a homemade, warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie? Anyone? Well here is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. Just ask Kaylee, she can tell you how WONDERFUL it is!!

Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

3/4 c. salted butter, softened (unsalted works too)
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. dark brown sugar (you can use light brown, but dark brown is better)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla (I personally eyeball this, and use Mexican Vanilla)
2 1/4 c. + 2 tbsp flour
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1 package chocolate chips

1. Cream butter and sugars.
2. Add in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla.
3. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until well mixed.
4. Mix in chocolate chips.
5. If you are like me, place in a large greased pizza pan and bake for 18 minutes. Turn off the oven, open the oven door for about 30 seconds then leave cookie in the over for 2 more minutes. Sounds weird but it slows the end of the cooking process!
Or you can scoop out onto ungreased cookie sheets and back 8-14 minutes to desired gooey-ness.

The best part about this recipe is that is it completely adaptable. Take out the chocolate chips and make your own fun cookie! Add white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. Add chocolate covered toffee bits. Add mint chips. Take out the vanilla and add almond extract with almonds and dark chocolate chips. Whatever makes you happiest!

And honestly, who doesn't just love chocolate chip cookies?

It's Been a While!!

Boy, its been a little while since I have been on this this site. I guess I should maybe catch everyone up to speed since its been a year since I posted. Kirstin is 4 NOW!! Wow, I will have to get on posting an updated picture of her with HAIR! LOL:)  Summer has been pretty slow, we haven't done to much around here. We moved back in December to a much bigger, nicer HOME!! Praise God, cause I don't think I could have stayed in the other one much longer. Kids are getting ready to start back up at school and we will be homeschooling Kyle this year because he needs some extra guidance and lots of love and attention. Not that the other ones don't but he seems to be the only one that thinks he needs just a little extra. For those of you that know Kyle you know what I am talking about. :) M daddy and momma and sisters will be coming to visit this weekend!! Whoop they will be here to help us celebrate Kyle's 10th birthday. This is awesome because this will be the first birthday party they will have got to attend since live so far away. We get to have them here with us for 4 day. I am one very excited girl!! Well, that's it for now off to deep clean the house. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Peanut Butters 3rd Birthday

Wow, where has all the time gone.I can't believe that she's already three,it seems just like yesterday, I was bringing her home from hospital. We celebrated her birthday on Saturday, April 14 when the weather was really icky outside. The bounce house was delivered for the kids and the party started at 3pm. Boy every one sure did have fun. We kept the bounce house up all day until about 7 o'clock in evening the skies sure did start to get dark. Lester rushed outside to deflate the bounce house and covered up with the tarp. The rain came shortly after he got inside, the tornado warnings were going off on the radio we all huddled in the basement until midnight. It was a crazy and exciting day altogether. Definitely a birthday for her we will remember.
